Johny & Felicity Mercer, Launceston

Johnny and Felicity Mercer were my wonderful hosts at their home in Launceston on the 19th and 20th March. They have two lovely daughters who welcomed me into their home.

I met the Mercer family back in February when I was in Plymouth and they kindly offered for me to stay with them when I walked to their area.

WP_20160319_16_37_21_ProJohnny is the MP for Plymouth Moor View although previously was an army officer.  He walked with me for a day from Port Isaac to Trethevy which was a very difficult route, but we had a very enjoyable day talking non-stop.  His lovely wife, Felicity, works for his office.  In the evening we had a long chat and I found that Felicity could understand what I was going through and feeling without me even explaining it!

WP_20160320_17_47_30_Pro (2)On Sunday we went for a pizza with Mike and Ethel Cavanagh (my previous hosts from Noss Mayo) and afterwards went to watch Johnny and Felicity’s oldest daughter cheerleading at a basketball game.

Thank you Johnny and Felicity for a lovely weekend. I loved staying with you and it was very hard to say goodbye!  I look forward to seeing you again at the end of my walk.
