The Rainbow Swim 4th February 2017 Gloucester

I work at St James’ C of E Primary School and was a General TA in Elizabeth’s class, when she became extremely ill and then sadly died after eighteen days in Bristol Children’s Hospital. Elizabeth was a beautiful child, inside and out, and her untimely death from a rare autoimmune condition has been hard to understand and come to terms with.

I have two children and cannot imagine the pain that Elizabeth’s mum, Natalia continues to endure. I am constantly in awe of Natalia’s achievements and am always moved by her poignant Facebook messages and endless determination. In February, Natalia will have completed a 6,000 mile walk around the coast of Britain.

The Rainbow Swim is a sponsored swim with both children and adults taking part. The aim is to swim 7km (one for each colour of the rainbow) and every length helps. It does not matter if individuals are not able to swim many lengths, as it is about personal goals and an overall team achievement.

Please help Natalia to raise as much money as possible by making a donation in Elizabeth’s memory.

Final Days of Natalia’s Journey

Nearly a year ago Natalia set sail on her Walk of Love around the British coastline. Come rain or shine she has walked over 5,000 miles to raise funds for the Wallace & Gromit Grand Appeal to buy life-saving equipment for Bristol Children’s Hospital in memory of her beloved daughter Elizabeth.

Follow the final days of her journey back to Durdle Door, Dorset where she started the Walk of Love on 14 February 2016, and if you have any pennies left after Christmas please, please, please donate – every penny helps!  Your donation could help save a child’s life …

Hi, I’m Natalia, Elizabeth’s Mum …

Since the sad passing of my beautiful daughter, Elizabeth, aged 5, I have been absolutely distraught and, as a result, I decided to focus my energy positively into a year-long walk around Britain’s Coastline.

I start from Durdle Door in Dorset, walking in a clockwise direction, and finishing back at Durdle Door hopefully in time for the anniversary of Elizabeth’s passing. This beach is emotionally significant to me as it is the last seaside location I visited with her.

I desperately want to do something to help others, which will not only give purpose to my life, but allow Elizabeth’s memory to be enshrined in people’s minds. The funds raised will support a worthy cause that actively helps critically ill children.

WOW, £100,000 target raised, YES over £100,000 raised and still climbing! …

She’s done it, hit the magical £100,000 target in ten months and the fund is still growing.

Can we double the target?  With your help YES we can try, let’s do it!

By the time Natalia completes her fund-raising ‘Walk of Love’ in early February 2017 let’s try to double the original goal she set herself and hit £200,000 for sick children if we can?

Just click on the ‘Donate Now’ button below or anywhere on the website and pledge whatever you can afford.

All the money raised is going to a very deserving cause, Wallace & Gromit’s Grand Appeal to help save very sick children’s lives.
